A week of relaxing with family and working from beautiful Huntington, NY was great for the soul. As summer moved along the end of August seemed like the perfect time to spend on Long Island and it truly was. The trek east from Chicago was enjoyable with a few great stops in Ohio on the way to NY and on the way back. The week on the island would be filled with work great food, family at sea, and 75 hard tasks.
Growing in Long Island is amazing experience. Not the Hamptons, but the the regular Long Island! Here are my top 10 favorite things to do:
Drive down to Huntington Bay
Boating all day long
Fishing and crabbing when we have time
Digging for cherry clams
Jones Beach bummin and mini golfing
Sitting in my Aunt and Uncle's amazing backyard in Huntington
Eating her amazing food. This is just a mango salad she modestly, "whipped up " while we we were on work calls...
Eating at my favorite restaurants:
Gatsby on the Ocean (great sunset meal)
We are the ultimate American family!
